Top 5 TF2 Unusual Effects

TF2 unusuals are the jackpots of trading and uncrating. But one unusual is just as good as the effect it has on it. So, sit back and relax as I count down the top 5 effects for TF2 unusuals in no order. These are solely my opinion.

5) Scorching Flames

I put this here and not burning flames, because in my opinion green flames look a lot cooler than orange flames. Now you can finally burn a hat without the risk of damaging the beloved thing itself, and it looks good on pretty much any hat... unless its one of those hats that make you bald, in which case it looks crazy.

4) Cloudy Moon

Who doesn't love this one? You have a moon right behind you, and it looks really cool, especially on that soldier Samurai Hat. The clouds kinda bug me though when they get in the way of the moon, since then it looks like a dust pile, but if they don't its epic.

3) Sun Beams

Nothing like pretending you're actually THE center of the solar system, since this won't blind enemies but its a way of saying "Hey, I'm better than you." It looks real good on any hat, I mean any, and its definatley worth having.

2) Circling TF Logo

You make Valve proud to have this. I think its safe to assume with this hat, it looks like TF2 likes your hat more than you like the actual game (which, ironically, isn't true since people love TF2 more than TF2 loves them, but whatever).

1) Sulphurous

Like I said, this list wasn't in order. Theres many I could fit in like Solar System, which is cool, Dead Presidents, and Stormy Storm, but this deserved to be here because... its awesome and its pixelated! Anyway, it looks cool.

Hope you enjoyed the list, post your personal top 5 below in the comments and follow my Twitter, @BonkedUpMonster!

TF2 Christmas - What to get, and how to be Merry

Since Christmas is around the corner, many want Christmas items on TF2 to feel jolly. Yet, which ones are actually worth buying? Which hats, weapons, miscs, and so on won't make you bankrupt entirely? Well, here is a list of TF2 items for Christmas in no order.

The Ebenezer

This community-created hat definatley puts the fancy in the word Christmas. But that makes no sense. Anyway, the Ebenezer definatley is a fun hat, but it honestly isn't that Christmas themed. I mean, you have a top hat with some red on it. With things like the All-Father as well it looks pretty festive, but alone not really.

The B.M.O.C

Oh, we all know this one, the big old Santa Hat the had driven most people bankrupt in the name of TF2 or jealous. It looks really, really awesome, but you'd be lucky to get your hands on it. People demand buds, 17 keys (At least, TF2Outpost wise and at Christmas when the prices go up.) for this, and half the time its painted. If you  really want it, go for it, but if you want a cheaper Christmas hat, give it a miss.

Big Elfin Deal

If you're a Scout fan, then this is the cheap hat for you. It looks pretty good, even when painted, and only costs around 1.33-1.66 in metal. The problem is, you'll probably be using this with two other Scout Christmas items; The Wrap Assassin, one of the weakest bats in the game, and the "Bootie Time"... that's a little unintentionally perverted, isn't it? Either way, this hat rocks and you should buy it if you love to play Scout.

Jingle Belt

Don't we all love to play as Pyro? It's stupidly fun. Fire, deflecting rockets, flare guns, a host of awesome hats, Pyroland, and so on. Because if you do get your hands on this! It's not really a hat, but it looks freakin' awesome and as a Pyro, when you run at people they'll probably see it. Not that amazing, but pretty cool to wear.

Holiday Headcase

This hat looks truly derpy, but it's pretty fun. One problem - it costs a ton, just like the Ebenezer or B.M.O.C. I guess if you want to be funny, maybe get it since it does look pretty cool in some respect, but if you want cheap hats give it a miss until the hype about it dies down.

Stocking Stuffer

For a Texan who loves his Christmas, this is a cheap little thing that looks sweet on the Engineer. It's not as noticeable as a hat, but any Engie would like this for Christmas. Yet, if you don't like playing as Engineer, maybe don't get it.

A Rather Festive Tree

This hat, on any class by its own - looks really really dumb. I'm sorry, it does. With other hats equipped it does look kinda decent, but by itself you just end up looking like a festive Marge Simpson. You could make the argument it looks fun, in which I agree, but I mean come on people - its for every class, and replaces the stock hat, so imagine it on a class like Sniper or Scout. Fun old hat, but buy by your own sense for this.

The All-Father

This looks damn amazing. Especially with the B.M.O.C. Its not that expensive, but don't throw away $13 over it if you don't like it that much. In pounds its a lot cheaper, so if you're English like me you should buy it if you want it. Painted it loses its Holiday Spirit and looks more like an ordinary beard, and it has been used with things like a Bill's Hat to look non-festive. Buy it if you truly wish to.

Festive Weapons

If you've played TF2 for a few years you've probably seen some cool reskins, like the Three Rune Blade or the Fish Cake. But Festives are definatley the Christmas daddy of them. They're basically (mostly) stock weapons with christmas lights around them, which you may think is pretty worthless, but look really cool, espically on the Holy Mackrel or The Flamethrower. It is only for primary weapons, but if you're a re-skin fan then grab yourself one for the holidays.

A Carefully Wrapped Gift/Secret Saxton

Now, A Carefully Wrapped Gift isn't an official item, its created by gift-wrapping a present, which you can then gift to someone directly. For being a Santa to a friend or someone close this is the thing you want to get. But if you just want to be a joyful Santa giving away random gifts, get the Secret Saxton, which when used will give a random gift to a random person on the server you're playing on.

Thanks for reading, and I hope you enjoyed! Catch me on Twitter @BonkedUpMonster, and the community workshop item of the week is Peppermint Pete created by InfectedPotato, Ertz, Mr.Gibbly and CDJO for the Pyro.
